COVID-19 Policy 

The safety of our staff and clients is of utmost importance to us. To help reduce the likelihood of spreading COVID-19, we have implemented the following policy when visiting Weston Veterinary Hospital. 

We will be using the CDC's most recent guidelines for masking to guide our masking policy. More specific information can be found by clicking: COVID-19 by County | CDC

  • Stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines
  • Get tested if you have symptoms
  • If you are at high risk for severe illness, talk to your healthcare provider about whether you need to wear a mask and take other precautions
  • Stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines

  • Wear a mask indoors in public
  • Stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines
  • Get tested if you have symptoms
  • Additional precautions may be needed for people at high risk for severe illness

When mask recommendations are LOW or MEDIUM, no mask is required. When masking recommendation is HIGH, a mask is required. 

You may choose to wear a mask regardless of the masking guidelines.  

We will review the CDC's recommendation in conjunction with state and local health department recommendations to determine when masking is needed.

Making appointments for office visit or surgery: 

1. Please call or use our Appointment Scheduler (Surgery appointment must be made in-person or on the phone).

***WALK-INS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED IF AN APPOINTMENT IS AVAILABLE***

Routine Pet Appointment: 

1. When arriving at the clinic, please call us at (304) 269-3288 OR come to the middle window to let us know you have arrived.  

2. If you chose to come in with your pet, you will be given a buzzer. Please return to your car and wait for the buzzer to go off. You will be met at the lobby door and escorted to an exam room. Your pet's entire appointment will take place in the exam room. 

If you chose CURBSIDE:

1.A staff member will come to your car and gather important information about your pet. Please inform our staff member of any specific request, such as nail trims, at this time.

2. Our staff member will then take your pet into the hospital to be seen by the veterinarian. 

3. Our veterinarian will exam your pet. The veterinarian or staff member may call you with additional question after your pet's exam. 

4. The veterinarian or staff member will discuss your pet's exam and any recommendations medical treatment.  

5. Our staff member will then create a cost estimate for all requested and recommended medical treatments for you to approve.  

6. After approval, our staff will perform the approval services and medical treatments. 

7. While your pet is receiving the approved services, you can pay your bill. 

8. Your pet will be returned to your vehicle our staff will provide any discharge instructions.  

Surgery Appointment: 

1. When arriving at the clinic, please call us at (304) 269-3288 OR come to the middle window to let us know you have arrived.  

2. After contacting us via phone OR window, please return to your car and wait for one of our staff members to come to your car. We do not want clients, patients, or guest gathering near the building.  

3. A staff member will come to your car and gather important information about your pet. Please inform our staff member of any specific request, such as nail trims, at this time. 

4. Our staff member will have you sign surgical consent form and a cost estimate for the surgery. 

5. Our staff member will take your pet into the hospital.  

6. Our veterinarian will exam your pet. The veterinarian or staff member may call you with additional question after your pet's exam. 

7. The veterinarian may call you to discuss any issues that could delay surgery.  Otherwise, the veterinarian will proceed with the scheduled surgery.     

8. A staff member will call with an update after your pet's surgery has been completed.  During this call, our staff member will give a pick-up time.  

9. When arriving at your designated pick-up time, please call us at (304) 269-3288 OR come to the second window to let us know you have arrived.

10. While a staff member gets your pet ready to go home, you can pay your bill. 

11. A staff member will bring your pet to your vehicle and discuss the discharge instructions.  

Medication Refill Request: 

1. Please call or use the Medication Refill Request Form to request medication. ***REQUEST MADE IN PERSON WILL NOT BE FILLED IMMEDIATELY***

2. We will notify you when your prescription is ready to be picked up. In most cases, this will occur in less than 1 business day.  

3. When arriving at the clinic, please call us at (304) 269-3288 OR come to the second window to let us know you have arrived.  

4. You can then pay and pick-up your pet's medication.
